AI PDF Summarizer
Get a quick summary of what's in a PDF. Text is read locally in your browser first, and only that extracted text is sent out to generate the summary.
Frequently asked questions
Is my PDF file uploaded anywhere?
No. The file is opened and its text extracted entirely in your browser. Only that extracted text — not the PDF file itself — is sent out to generate the summary.
What if my PDF is a scan with no real text layer?
There's no text to extract, so nothing meaningful can be summarized. Run it through Scan to Editable first, then summarize the result.
What's the difference between the summary styles?
Brief gives a couple of sentences, Detailed gives several paragraphs covering more of the document's content, and Key points gives a short bulleted list of the main takeaways.
Is there a length limit on the PDF?
No hard limit on the file, but only the first portion of very long documents' text is sent for summarizing, to keep this fast and free for everyone.
Can I trust the summary completely?
Treat it as a helpful starting point. AI-generated summaries can occasionally miss nuance or get details wrong — always verify anything important against the original document.
